Join us at Lost Barrel Brewing this summer for a fun, reward-based dog training series designed to make life with your dog easier — both at home and out in public!

Scott Wolffe, founder of Wolffe Puppy Training, has spent over 12 years helping families across Northern Virginia build great relationships with their dogs. He focuses on positive reinforcement, clear communication, and helping owners lead with quiet confidence. No force, no intimidation — just effective, humane methods. Scott is an active member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and an AKC Certified Evaluator for the S.T.A.R. Puppy Program, Canine Good Citizen (CGC), and AKC Temperament Test (ATT).

Sign up for a single class to fix a specific issue, or join all four to graduate your dog as a certified “Good Beer Citizen!”

Ticket Perks & Safety Guidelines

• Every registration includes a Pup Cup for your dog and a beer of your choice from Lost Barrel Brewing for you!
• Class size kept small (maximum 10 teams) for personalized attention.
• Equipment: All dogs on a standard 4–6 foot fixed leash (no retractables). No shock, prong, choke, or electronic collars.
• Health: Dogs must be friendly and up-to-date on core vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella).
• VIP Private Training available upon request for customized one-on-one sessions.

Summer Schedule & Class Descriptions

Class 1: Puppy Socialization & Foundations – July 25th
For puppies up to 9 months old. Build confidence around new sights, sounds, and surfaces. Learn body language and hand signals so your pup understands “sit” and “down” the first time.

Class 2: Loose Leash Walking & Maneuvering – August 1st
Tired of being dragged? Practice loose-leash walking around real-world distractions at the brewery. Navigate tight spaces and pass other dogs calmly using your body language.

Class 3: Brewery Etiquette & Socialization – August 8th
Master the perfect patio hang. Teach your dog to settle calmly under the table, ignore distractions, and politely coexist in a busy public space.

Class 4: The “Good Beer Citizen” & Beyond – August 15th
Advanced impulse control: reliable “leave it” for dropped food and a solid “place” command in a lively taproom. Perfect foundation for future AKC Canine Good Citizen work.
