Lost Barrel Brewing is the newest hot spot in Middleburg, VA where we discovered their state of the art equipment to produce high-quality beers and hard seltzers surrounded by amazing views and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy your favorite brew.
Lost Barrel has made it a point to be in harmony with it’s rural setting. It was built out of reclaimed wood, and with its clerestory windows and silo-like tower, it resembles a rustic barn. Just as important to its owners is that the brewery be part of the community.
Patrick Steffens does more than just head up the beer production at Lost Barrel Brewing, he’s also the general manager and a part of the ownership team. Excited to return to brewing after taking some time off for family, Patrick has jumped right back in with proven recipes and a whole lot of prior brewing knowledge. We talk with him about his background, how Lost Barrel came to be, and a bit about the beers they are making. Be sure to join us again next week for the conclusion of our interview.
In addition to a range of beer options, the hard seltzer will come in four flavors — wild cherry, black orange, grapefruit and lemon-lime.
Catering operations are being run by LoCo Kitchen, which will be serving a range of upscale pub menu items such as tacos, wings, salads and flatbreads.
You can enjoy our curated playlists, a live DJ set, or mu- sical act. Our DJ’s explore the intersections of a wide expanse of genres, all played with artful technique and a true love of mu- sic. This completes the experi- ence at Lost Barrel Brewing.
Inspired by the idea of lost treasure, Lost Barrel Brewing is a gem in Middleburg worth discovering. In addition to craft beer, hard seltzer, and a chef-curated menu, the brewery offers stunning views of the surrounding horse farm, private event spaces, and expert hospitality from the friendly team.
Situated on a 70-acre working horse farm that abuts the Salamander Resort & Spa, the brewery features 15 beers on tap, four varieties of hard seltzers and a full food menu. And its beer is brewed by a familiar face, Patrick Steffens, the former owner and brewer at Loudoun Brewing Co. in Leesburg.
Lost Barrel Brewing is a sleek new Middleburg operation specializing in farm-brewed ales, lagers, IPAs and stouts in a multi-purpose setting. Drink indoors, take a seat on the heated porch or the Adirondacks around the firepits and in between sips of Belgian-style Farm Light or malty Amber Ale, sample cheese and charcuterie from Chef José Marty’s LoCo Kitchen on premises.
